What do I do if I have a problem?


Depending on the type of problem you are encountering, one of many avenues may be most appropriate.

  • You are running late and will not be able to pick up your child on time…  Please call the preschool office immediately and advise them that you will be late.  Our staff will always ensure the safety and care of your child.  Calling to let us know you will be late and approximately when you will be able to arrive at the school will assist us in reassuring your child.  When a parent is more than 10 minutes late, we begin to contact individuals listed on the child’s enrollment form to find an individual who is able to pick-up the child.  If you call us to advise us you are on your way we can avoid disturbing these individuals.  Please note, even if you call and advise us you are running late a late fee will be assessed.
  • You are not able to pay your preschool tuition on the 1st of the month…  Tuition is due on the 1st of the month and a late fee is assessed after the 10th for any account with an outstanding balance.  All accounts with outstanding balances are issued an invoice showing their balance and late fees after the 10th.  If your tuition is late, please let the bookkeeper know when you will be able to make the necessary payments.  Any family experiencing financial difficulty and in need of a scholarship should contact the preschool office to request a scholarship application.
  • You are unhappy with an aspect of the program… we always encourage individuals to address problems/issues with the individual most closely connected to the issue.  If your concern is about a policy or procedure please see one of the directors.  If your concern is in the classroom, talk with the classroom teacher about your concern.  If you do not find your concern has been adequately addressed and you have gone to the individual and to the director, contact the president of the board of directors.
  • Often times, problems/concerns stem from misunderstanding the other individuals perspective.  This is why we encourage you to follow a chain of contacts that begin with the individual immediately connected to the issue and then moves outward through the administration of the preschool.  Handling issues directly and avoiding discussing the issue with individuals who are not directly involved will help expedite a more speedy resolution for everyone involved.
